Meatless Lasagna With Cottage Cheese
Top with another noodle layer.
Meatless lasagna with cottage cheese. In large high sided skillet cook beef sausage garlic and onion over medium high heat 10 to 12 minutes or until meat is cooked through breaking up meat with back of spoon and stirring occasionally remove and discard any excess fat in pan. Cover with a layer of noodles. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
Stir in tomato sauce tomato paste oregano and salt. Uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese.
Finish with remaining 1 cups of mozzarella and cup of parmesan cheese on top. Layer 2 noodles 1 3 of the meat 3 4 cup of cottage cheese 1 2 cup mozzarella. Mix egg cottage cheese and parmesan until blended.
Bake covered 45 minutes. Layer 3 lasagna noodles on top snap off their ends to fit and or overlap their edges as necessary. Top with 3 no boil lasagna noodles 1 3 of the cottage cheese mixture and another 1 4 of the sauce mixture.
Place 3 lasagna noodles on bottom of 13x9 inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with cup tomato sauce then sprinkle cup shredded cheese on top. Spread 1 2 cup pasta sauce mixture onto bottom of 13x9 inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
Cover baking dish with foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Make the meat sauce. To prepare ahead of time cover unbaked lasagna tightly with foil and refrigerate no longer than 24 hours.
